** OFFICIAL STATEMENT **
Hey Fans!
I hope this little update finds everyone happy and healthy around the world!! Its been a whirlwind past few weeks or so for me. From Czech Republic, to Spain, to New Jersey, to Dallas (and a few blizzards in between there) I’ve been half way around the world and back again it seems like. So I just wanted to touch base briefly with you all about my decision to not return to Ros.
This is more for the overseas fans, being that I think a lot of my fans back home are glad that I’m choosing to get a little rest and relaxation before the WNBA season, and my fans across the ocean are a little confused as to why I won’t be returning.
Although there are a hand full of reasons for my decision to leave, I can tell you that one of the main reasons was that my mind, and body just needed a break from hotels, airports, and the general grind of seasons running on top of the next season.
Some of my peers have been going from season to season for years, and I greatly respect that, its tough to do that, but for me at this point my overall happiness is more important to me. If something doesn’t feel right in me about the situation, then its at that point that I choose to change it. So though I signed for the remainder of the season with Ros, there was also an “option out” clause after the first round of Euro league playoffs and I’m simply choosing to exercise that option.
Technically I’m free contractually to go and play for another club, but that’s not in my plans at this point.
I’d like to thank Ros Casaras for my time there in Spain, and most importantly the women on the team. The girls were the reason this decision was so tough, but I wish them all the best and will be cheering for them from home!! I’m picking them to go to the Final Four!!!!!
Thank you to my fans around the world, maybe I’ll be seeing you soon, as I am planning on playing over seas next season!!
Peace, and Blessings!! –Becky

YAYYY!!!! Speaking from the fan standpoint in general, If fans all over the world want to continue to watch you play at an optimum level night in and night out, then they should respect your decision and understand that a little personal R&R is much needed in order to do that.

Dear Becky,
You sure deserve a break from a BIG YEAR that you have experienced overseas and then the NBA All-Star Games and congratulations are in order for your good results with the Texas Team. We hope to follow you in a good time with the WNBA here at home and will pray that your health will hold up…don’t go breaking any legs, though.

Hey Becky,
Just to let you know, I’m going to UK to visit a friend and to watch u play with Ros Casares (really, the main reason is just to watch ur game! ha) but I guess now I’ve to save my money to catch you live in WNBA. I just want to feel the real excitement than watching the games online. Anyway, you deserve to be happy and the Hammonites are happier if you stay healthy and happy.
Best of luck,
fan from Malaysia
Just remember: there are many paths to the top of the mountain, but the view is always the same…
Good luck to you!! See you in May!
Hey Becky,
Thanks for the info! As some who travels around the US for work, the time away can be stressful and the need to come home to decompress in a familiar place is a welcome site. I wish you well this season a look forward to seeing you play…Somewhere =)
Many Regards and Go Stars!
